Saturday
We promised the kids a trip to the Oregon State Fair. Madison’s birthday is coming up so we let her invite her friend Hanna. We caked on the sunscreen and loaded the car up! We thought taking the wagon was a good Idea since we were not sure Tru would walk the whole time, and since we don’t have a stroller this was our option.
So we had a plan when we got there, the parking was free but sucked!! Our plan was see Animals when we first arrived since it was early and not too hot yet. Of course we had to see the horses and Miniature horses. Then the Pigs and baby piggies. Emma wanted one to take home. All Jason saw was BACON!!!
As we were leaving animals . . . they had Mutton Bustin' for kids. Meaning of this is to ride Sheep like bulls. They are placed in a chute and kids strapped on and the chute opens and you try to stay on. SO each of our daughters wanted to do it! The held Tru and Emma but let Madison go and she was not going to let go she was carried into a herd of sheep and then let go! A TRUE COWGIRL!!
After the animals they were all hungry so we opted to get lunch. Madison wanted subway; I was like we can get that any day lets get Fair food!!! WE did! Then the girls sat and watched a singer sing.
After we ate was time to see other things, so we walked to Family vile were we saw DUCK Racing! Perfect timing cause they were just starting. They were having 4 heats then a race off. Hanna and Madison got chosen to release a Duck in the race then their duck won so they were in the race off. Then their duck won again. They got a cute ducky hat and whistle. Was fun! Then off to petting zoo.

After petting zoo we walked thru some of the buildings, with stuff to sample and buy. WE saw bees, quilts; kids played games for free stuff. Oh boy they got tons of Junk for free they thought was so cool. This year the Fair had lots of free kids stuff to see and do. Which we are so thankful for! WE played on rock climbing so did Jason.
Well it was getting late . . . headed to games and played enough for each kid to go home with a prize. Was a hot and Fun day all in one!!
Sunday
Was our company Picnic, Jason and I work for same company, Food Services of America. Our company picnic was held at Oaks Park in Portland. Wow we have never been there but they have allot to do! Unfortunately Jason had to hold down the fort at work and WORK!! Which was not fun with 4 girls (yes I said 4) Madison brought her friend Hanna. Which is fine she is very well behaved and we have no problems with her (unlike some other friends of her) SO when we first got there they had kids games but everyone gets a prize. Tru was in a foot race with other 4 year olds. She picked out a princess makeup play set. Then Emma, Madison and Hanna were in gunny sack races. They didn't win but got some cool prizes. Madison got Friendship bracelet kit to make 100+ of them. Emma got a High school musical school set. Hanna picked out a bowling outside set. They were happy and ready for the Rides!!
So we ate our luau food (was better year before). We were given bracelets for unlimited rides and roller skating (which my kids have never done). The first ride was the Round up the kids were sure they wanted to ride it. They did Great! Tru was upset she could not ride on it as you can see in the picture. So after the big girls got to ride that one it was time for Tru to ride one. So all of us when on the Lewis and Clark adventure. ( was Disney land ride 100 years ago) Wow it was interesting. Then the girls all went down the "Big Pink" slide. they loved it! So then the bigger girls wanted to ride the spider so they waited in line while Tru went on her own little rides just her size.

After rides we had to rush back to picnic area they were opening the candy shack where all you can eat candy booth for our company! Wow the kids had it made! After they were all hyped on sugar we headed to Roller skating rink which was bad idea since I cannot roller skate being Pregnant. I got them all set. Amy was with us so she helped Tru go around. Emma needs to stick with her cleats and soccer ball and Madison was not staying on her feet. It was there first time but I think they had fun. I Left Tru in the practice area while I checked on Emma, I turned around and Found Tru in the Arcade trying to play a game with a Pink gun! Figures she is soo like her dad!
So After Roller skating We were headed back to company picnic. it was time for My fun a Employee Drawing for prizes which include, portable dvd players, cameras, xbox360, Guitar hero, Flat screen TV's And Big screen TV, bar-b-q and Laptop! I Really always have the worst luck. Well They called my name and I won a Toshiba Laptop!! I could not believe it. now I can blog in bed and watch TV at same time. Like right now!! I Love it thank you FSA!
